Workshop - Be a Fashion Detective!

Students will investigate Irish fashion and get hands on experience of fabrics and fibre. The workshop explores social historical themes such as a comparison of “rich and poor”, changes over time, from manufacturing in nineteenth-century Ireland to the global mass production of today, and how our clothes communicate messages about who we are. Students will work in small groups and use clue cards to prompt their exploration of a character and their garments.
