This collection consists of ceramics originally collected to influence local ceramic industries and to illustrate the evolution of fine ceramics.

Examples include Continental European and British porcelain, Italian Maiolica, French faience, Dutch delftware, and Hispano-Moresque ware. The collections also includes Irish delftware, Belleek and Carrigaline, and a modest collection of high quality contemporary Irish/Irish-related works.
