Bealtaine Drop-In Workshop: Tactile Timeline of Historic Ireland

Free Admission. No Booking Required.

Replica Brooch Kit from the Museum's Handling Collection

Celebrate Bealtaine and come to the Learning Resource Room to see how objects changed and developed from Early Medieval Ireland, through to Viking Ireland and into Medieval Ireland.

At this handling workshop, meet with our Museum Educators and discover our replica artefacts. Have a look through our timeline banner and learn about the original artefacts from the Museum’s collection. Read through our many books about archaeology, and make sure to explore the Museum's galleries afterwards.

Each year for the month of May, the Bealtaine festival takes place. This festival focuses on the celebration of art and creativity as we age and is organised by Age and Opportunity. For more information, please see the Bealtaine website. Details for this event can also be viewed on the Bealtaine website.

This International Museum Day event is supported by funding from the International Council of Museums, Ireland.

No booking required. Located in the Learning Resource Room, First Floor. Not wheelchair accessible.
