International Museums Day Drop-In Workshop: Tactile Timeline of Historic Ireland

Free Admission. No Booking Required.

Celebrate International Museums Day and come to the Learning Resource Room to see how objects changed and developed from Early Medieval Ireland, through to Viking Ireland and into Medieval Ireland.

At this handling workshop, meet with our Museum Educators and discover our replica artefacts. Have a look through our timeline banner and learn about the original artefacts from the Museum’s collection. Take part in some relaxing colouring activities, read through our many books about archaeology, and make sure to explore the Museum's galleries afterwards.

This International Museum Day event is supported by funding from the International Council of Museums, Ireland.

No booking required. Located in the Learning Resource Room, First Floor. Not wheelchair accessible. This workshop is for families.

This event will also take place from 2pm-4pm on Saturday 18th May.
