The Museum Café offers a wide range of foods. From salads, breads, sandwiches, pasta, and soup, to specialty coffees, muffins, pastries and desserts, we've got something for all tastes.

Opening Hours

The café is open during Museum hours, with an earlier start on Sunday:

Tuesday to Saturday 10am to 5pm
Sunday 12pm to 5pm
Closed Mondays (including bank holidays, Christmas Day and Good Friday)

Out-of-hours functions, anything from wine and canapé receptions to sit-down dinners, can be catered for by prior arrangement.

Child-Friendly Service

You will find child-friendly food at the café and high-chairs are available on request. The Café also welcomes mothers who wish to breast-feed their children.

Group Bookings

Groups wishing to use the café and take a guided tour are advised to ring to secure a time for the guided tour before booking the café.

Picnic at the Museum

If you would like to bring a picnic, there are tables and chairs available around the Museum grounds.

Awards

Brambles is delighted to have been the first café in Europe decorated with the Gold Medal Award for its filter coffee.

Our coffee has passed stringent tests and became the first coffee in Europe to achieve the grade of "Gold Medal Standard" as certified by the Speciality Coffee Association of Europe - something no other Irish Café can boast.

Brambles is proud to have won a Café of the Year Award for Leinster in 2010 in the Food & Agriculture Category and were shortlisted for the Family Business Category.

Brambles achieved runner up status in the Café of the Year Awards in 2008 and 2009 as well as being short listed for the Ulster Bank Business Achievers awards in 2008 and 2009 in the Family Business Category.
