Natural History Reading Room

Read all about it! The Natural History Museum has a specialised Reading Room so you can find out more about the animals on display.

This new area on the first floor was developed to provide an opportunity for visitors to sit and read more about the many animals which are on display and other topics related to Natural History.

The selection of books is aimed at providing insights into the varied and exciting work of Natural History.

Reading Room used by students
In the reading area you will find books on:

  • Conservation
  • Geology
  • Earth Sciences
  • Irish Biodiversity
  • Reference books

This space also provides seating so that the Victorian displays and buildings, as well as the exhibits, can be viewed.
