Adults
The National Museum of Ireland – Country Life offers individuals and groups opportunities to engage with the Museum's exhibitions and the Folklife collection through tours, activities and a range of programmed events.
Individuals
The Calendar of Events offers individuals or small groups the
opportunity to partake in lectures, seminars and conferences, talks, workshops, deminstrations, art and craft courses and performances. Each quarter full and half-day art and craft courses are offered specifically for an adult audience.
Self Guided Visits
When choosing to self guide the galleries, a visit to the Audio Visual theatre offers background information to the Museum, Folklife collection and the traditional way of life in the past. The film is approximately 20 minutes long and the purpose built AV theatre seats approximately 60 people. Floorplans in many languages are available at the reception desk along with information on any temporary exhibitions that may be taking place.
Exhibits are labelled bi-lingually (English & Irish) and there are
information panels to explain the themes of the displays. Interactive technology, video footage and recordings enhance the visitor experience and aid overall understanding of the exhibitions. For more information contact the Bookings Office.
