Length of beetle wing and gilt thread embroidery worked on coarse white net with green linen thread. A single length of fabric decorated with four lines of beetle elytra (wing cases). These elytra are stitched in place with green thread which is piercing each elytron in two places. There is a further decoration of metal wrapped thread which surrounds the elytra and also forms a tendril shaped design.
