Decorative Arts & History

A well-known landmark overlooking the River Liffey, the National Museum of Ireland – Decorative Arts & History at Collins Barracks is an elegant and convenient corporate events venue. Whether you’re organising a meeting, conference, reception or banquet, we have four unique spaces that can accommodate five to 200 attendees. Combining a stunning location, with friendly service and excellent catering, we go the extra mile to make your event one to remember.

Over 300 years of history

Collins Barracks dates back to 1704 and has housed various army troops through the years. Today, it is home to the Headquarters of the National Museum of Ireland and showcases fascinating exhibits on military history, costume, furniture, silver, ceramics, coins and glassware. Event organisers are welcome to allocate time for visits to the Museum or schedule tours to suit a group’s area of interest.

Great accessibility

For ease of access, the Museum has free car parking, a dedicated stop on the Luas line, and is conveniently located beside Heuston Train Station, close to the city centre. All corporate spaces are fully wheelchair accessible.
