Celebrate National Drawing Day on 17 May

Drop in to Collins Barracks on National Drawing Day to discover what a source of inspiration the Museum can be for budding artists and designers of all ages.

There's a free Drawing Day Activity Book you can pick up at the Museum's reception. Pencils are provided by the Museum, but bring along any other materials and sketchbooks you'll need.

Family Activity Area: Step Back in Time!

Drop into the Museum, go on a journey through the ‘Way We Wore – 250 years of Irish Clothing’ and see how many shoes you can find in the exhibition, design your own shoes inspired by the exhibition. Activities are free and materials are provided.

Take a Seat

Drop into the exhibition ‘Reconstructed Rooms: Four Centuries of Furnishings’ Explore chair design in the ‘Take your seat’ gallery and then tell us about your ideal chair using the response cards provided.

Pick up an Activity Sheet

Pick up an Activity Sheet from main Reception, Draw your favourite object using the ‘My Favourite Object‘ activity sheet or explore your heritage with the ‘The Heritage Trail’.
