The National Museum staff are dedicated to making the Museum collections accessible to the public. In addition to exhibitions, public programmes and events, special projects may take place in either the Museum Galleries or Museum grounds.

On Sight 2015

On Sight is an annual artist-led initiative which sees the installation of artworks in and around the grounds of Turlough Park, home of the National Museum of Ireland-Country Life, between May and September.

Riverdance can trace its origins to the ‘Mayo 5000’ celebrations in 1993. Since its first performance at the Eurovision Song Contest in 1994, Riverdance has wowed audiences worldwide and has reinvented Irish traditional dance.
