Families

My Museum Family Programme

The My Museum programme of events is designed to encourage families to work together, in an alternative and fun way, to learn more about the National Museum of Ireland’s collections. Every two to three weeks, a different part of the Museum’s collections is explored either through an art, drama or storytelling workshop; or through a demonstration or special guided tour.

Places are limited and operate on a first come, first served basis.

Family Tours

Free themed tour for family groups.

Please note that places are limited and are allocated on a first come, first served basis.

Activity Area

The Activity Area, situated between the Out of Storage and Irish Silver galleries on the first floor of the Museum, is a resource for families and children. You are welcome to drop by and try out a range of activities, which focus on a different gallery or theme every couple of weeks and are suitable for children from four years old and upwards.

Activities are free and don’t need to be booked, which means you can stay for as long or as short a time as you like.
