Guidelines - Planning Your Visit
Guided tours and workshops are free of charge to educational groups, but please note that groups will be charged at €40 per guide/facilitator in the event of a cancellation with less than 48 hours notice. Groups booked in for guided tours or workshops should also arrive in good time, as otherwise a full tour or activity cannot be guaranteed.
All Museum buildings are wholly or partially wheelchair accessible. For further information check with the relevant Bookings Office.
We recommend that there should be one adult for every 15 children/students. Adults in charge must remain with their group at all times during the visit and are responsible for their behaviour. Photography via camera/phone or video is not permitted in any of the Museum buildings without prior permission in writing. Mobile phones should be turned off or switched to a silent profile during the visit.
Café facilities are available at all venues. Contact the relevant Bookings Office for more information about lunch facilities at individual Museum sites, or check the Café link under the Visit Us section of each Museum site on this website, from the links in the menu bar at the top of the page.
As cloakroom facilities are limited, children should bring as little baggage as possible into the Museum buildings. Purses and other valuables should be kept on their persons during their visit.
