Language Schools

Group of badgers Meles meles prepared by Williams & Son in 1911

Students can see displays of animals, birds and insects found in Ireland, including imposing skeletons of the Giant Irish Deer and animals and birds from around the world.

Currently we are unable to provide guided tours for Language Schools so all visits are self directed. Please note that the Group Leader is asked to remain with the group at all times and we recommend the ratio of leaders to students is 1 to 15.

Please give advance notice of your visit; make a bookingLinks to external website.

Some tips for planning your group visit

We would recommend that all group who are on self directed visit do some preparatory work in the classroom, have tasks to complete during their visit and do post visit work back it the classroom.

Unusual Nouns and Verbs

Students will discover there are many nouns and verbs use in Museum exhibitions, which they might not have encountered in their normal English classes. Why not use the descriptions of the exhibitions, such as Irish Fauna, to help you prepare the students in the classroom before they visit?
