Learning Resource Room

An art workshop in the Learning Resource Room

Use the Learning Resource Room to start or follow up your visit to the Museum galleries.  The room can accomodate up to 30.  Resources available include an interactive whiteboard, research area, library of books relating to the Museum's exhibitions and basic drawing and art materials.  The room will be supervised by a Museum educator - contact us to make your booking.

Barracks Life Room

This interactive gallery aims to tell the stories of the soldiers who lived in Collins Barracks in the past.  A visit to this gallery is worth making if you're visiting any of the galleries in the Soldiers and Chiefs exhibition.  There are reconstructions of beds with soldiers' kit laid out in order, interactive computer games, displays of original objects and uniforms to try on.  Contact us to book your visit. 

Family Activity Area

This is a family space just for you. Pick up a pencil and draw, read a book, take a break and learn more about the Museum. 

The Activity Area is situated beside the Irish Silver gallery on the first floor of the Museum.
