'Make a prehistoric clay pot' Workshop
This workshop invites students to examine the different types of Neolithic and Bronze Age pottery on display in the Museum. This is followed by a sensory-based handling session with replica prehistoric pottery (pictured right) and a hands-on workshop.
This interactive workshop prompts students to think about the different prehistoric techniques involved in the production of the pottery on display in the Museum and the people who made it. The students can then put what they have learned into practice and make their own clay pot to take home.
This workshop is suitable for art and history students in Junior Cert and Transition Year classes.
