The Primary Curriculum in the National Museum: An Integrated Approach to Learning
A 5-day course providing teachers with the opportunity to find out how to effectively use the Museum’s collections to support delivery of the National Primary Curriculum
Creating and Managing an Outdoor Classroom
This course supports our Garden Outreach project which is now in its fourth year. It is designed to give teachers practical assistance in setting up a school garden and in using it to teach the curriculum. We have had some outstanding and positive feedback from schools involved in the outreach project and our evaluation highlighted that teachers felt that they could use some expert help with ways to use the garden and how to maintain it year to year. Many teachers wishing to get involved in the project have never gardened before and feel they need a crash course – well this is it!
This course is facilitated by the Organic Centre, Leitrim.
The Organic Centre is part of the SEED (Schools Environmental Education Development) network.
