As part of the project students were given the opportunity to give feedback on the project via a video diary and here are some of the comments they made:
- Most students mentioned that they had learned something about the history of Irish music, song and dance. Some found it interesting while others found it boring but most mentioned that it was kept short and concise.
- According to the students the most enjoyable part of the project was the percussion and the dancing. They found it the most engaging and they observed that these parts of the project were the ones that brought the boys and the girls together.
- Some suggestions made by the students included: “Café too expensive”, “more percussion over the week”, “have the dancing first because it got the group to bond together better”
- Most found the grounds of Turlough Park and the Museum a great venue for this type of event. Many said they would love to come back and do something like this again. (8 thumbs up out of 10)
