IIC
The International Institute for the Conservation of Historic and Artistic Works promotes the knowledge, methods and standards needed to protect and preserve historic and artistic works throughout the world. It also conducts a regular programme of publications and conferences.
ICOM-CC
ICOM-CC is the largest of the International Committees of ICOM (International Council of Museums) with over 1,600 members worldwide from every branch of the museum and conservation profession.
ICCROM
ICCROM is an intergovernmental organization (IGO) dedicated to the conservation of cultural heritage. It exists to serve the international community as represented by its Member States, which currently number more than 125.
IPCRA
The Irish Professional Conservators and Restorers Association. The organisation produces regular newsletters and the website contains contact details of conservators/restorers operating in Ireland.
ICHAWI
Institute for the Conservation of Historic and Artistic Works in Ireland. A small organisation aimed primarily at promoting conservation in Ireland and establishing professional standards, ICHAWI organises a number of conservation related short courses. Membership is through accreditation by the organisation.
The Heritage Council
Influential organisation regarding conservation in Ireland. Organises conservation internships in a number of different major organisations.
ICON
ICON is the lead voice for the conservation of cultural heritage in the UK. Its membership embraces the wider conservation community, incorporating not only professional conservators in all disciplines, but all others who share a commitment to improving understanding of and access to cultural heritage.
The Conservation Register
The Conservation Register holds detailed information on conservation-restoration practices from across the UK and Ireland. It is a service provided by the Institute of Conservation which helps you find information on accredited conservator/restorers.
