Sunday 11
Róisín led a glass workshop for families in which people were able to experience the art and skills of glass engraving. To celebrate Seachtain na Gaeilge 2018, the workshop was conducted in both English and Irish.

Róisín spoke with Séan Rocks on Arena on RTÉ Radio 1 about CAUTION! Fragile, alongside Waterford Crystal master craftsman Fred Curtis, who collaborated on the exhibition. Listen online or download the podcast.


Friday 6
Exhibition tour
Róisín led a tour of her exhibition CAUTION! Fragile for families in which visitors of all ages discovered glass swords, glass bells and glass musical instruments.

Monday 9 - Tuesday 10
Glass Engraving Workshop
The course brought together practising artists from all over the country as well as professionals within the field. The workshop centred on the practice of low relief engraving and and illustration in glass, working with Róisín and visiting artist Wilhelm Vernim, a master engraver from Germany.

Friday 27
Exhibition tour
Culture Club, in collaboration with Dublin City Council, is a monthly club which invites members of the public to explore and enjoy the collections at Collins Barracks through a series of specially arranged guided tours and activities, followed by 'Tea & Chat' and an opportunity to mingle. The Clubs take place on the last Friday of each month. April's Culture Club was a tour of CAUTION! Fragile with Róisín.


Wednesday 23
A one-day symposium organised by Róisín in partnership with the Museum. Speakers from Ireland and abroad uncovered and explored our extensive glass collection, approximately 8% of which is on public display. Speakers included Dr Audrey Whitty (Keeper, Art & Industrial Collections) and Nigel Monaghan (Keeper, Natural History Collections) who spoke on the internationally renowned Blaschka Glass Collection. Róisín also invited participants to a behind-the-scenes visit to her studio in Collins Barracks.


Saturday 23
As part of Stoneybatter Festival, Róisín held a family art workshop in which visitors got to know the birds of the local area and then created their own model birds.


Sunday 8
Róisín led a hands-on summer family workhop, Sunday Portraits, for people of all ages to discover the beauty of glass and learn some glassmaking skills and techniques.
