Pictured is a camogie dress worn by Maeve Gilroy in the 1960s. She was wearing this dress when she won her second All-Ireland Senior camogie title with Antrim in 1967.

Their role is to collect, manage, and preserve Ireland’s heritage in the decorative and applied arts, as well as its political, economic, military and social history.
The primary aim is to promote a wider understanding of Ireland’s cultural heritage and to highlight the country’s contribution to European decorative arts and in a broader international context.
When this robe was acquired by the National Museum of Ireland in 1932 it was believed to be a Lama Priest robe dating to the reign of Kangxi (1662-1722), and associated with the Abbot of the main Tibetan Buddhist temple in China, the YongHeGong in Beijing.
