Temporary closure of 20th/21st century furniture galleries

Please be advised that the 20th and 21st century Furniture Galleries, which form part of the Four Centuries of Furnishings Exhibition, will be closed to the public from 3rd September – the end of November 2018.


To our visitors and members of the public – please be advised that the 20th and 21st century Furniture Galleries, which form part of the Four Centuries of Furnishings Exhibition, will be closed to the public from 3rd September till the end of November 2018.

The “Contemporary Irish Furniture Designers” room is closing definitively to the public to facilitate the installation of a forthcoming exhibition “Niamh Barry Light on Earth”. The Frederick MacManus Bedroom, 1933, the Brendan Dunne Living Room, 1940s and the James Hicks Drawing Room, 1900 will reopen at the end of November 2018.
