National Treasures: Designed Objects as Social History

Designed objects are literally ideas in physical form; almost everything we use or come into contact with has been designed. Join National Treasures curator Linda King as she examines some of the exhibition’s everyday objects and the circumstances surrounding their making, to gain insight into the interests of a society at any particular moment in history.

Meath Travellers Workshop Ltd

Meath Travellers Workshops Ltd re-create a real life picture of Traveller life in the 1950s. Come along to see a fully restored barrel top wagon, a traditional tent, a flat cart, working tin-smith, storytelling Traveller woman and, of course, a camp-fire.
