WORKSHOP: Easter Art Workshop
Free Admission | Booking Required
Easter was an important celebration in the traditional folk calendar as it marked the end of Lent and of fasting.
The build-up of eggs and dairy produce during Lent provided for a welcome breakfast and there were usually enough eggs for children to decorate and use in Easter games. Have a go at designing some Easter cards similar to those used in Easters past, examples of which are now part of the Irish Folklife Collection. This is a self-directed activity with resources supplied by the National Museum of Ireland - Country Life.
This is a free event, suitable for adults and children. Booking required. Email BookingsCountryLife@museum.ie or telephone the Bookings Office on +353 94 90 31751 to book the 2pm slot or the 3pm slot.
