The National Museum of Ireland - Country Life welcomes group visits through the bookings office.
Located just outside Castlebar, in Co Mayo, and easily accessed just off the N5 (Dublin to Westport route), the Museum has a full range of modern visitor facilities to accommodate group visits including a gift and craft shop and an onsite café with group dining options.
All groups must be booked in advance through the Bookings Office.

Self-guided group visits
Admission for self-guided groups is free. Floorplans are provided free of charge from Museum Reception and are available in English, Irish, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Polish and Ukrainian.
Please book your self-guided group visit through the Bookings Office.
Guided group tours
A guided group tour with an experienced museum guide costs €40 (15 people per guide). Larger groups may require more than one guide and this will be charged accordingly. This will be outlined at the time of your booking.
Guided tours must be booked through the Bookings Office (and are subject to availability).
Public tours
Free public tours are available from Museum Reception every Saturday at 2pm and 3pm. No booking is required. Find out more in our upcoming events section.
Educational group visits
We are delighted to welcome school groups to the National Museum of Ireland for self-guided visits and onsite guided tours and workshops.
All groups that wish to visit need to book in advance with the Bookings Office.
