This short video, featuring Museum curators, educators and guides, is just one section of our ‘Proclaiming a Republic: The 1916 Rising’ Virtual Tour, which provides an engaging, informative and thought-provoking look at this important exhibition, and explores this significant period in our history. The exhibition, which formed a key element of the nation’s commemorations of the centenary of the Easter Rising when it opened in 2016, focused on the events leading up to and during Easter Week through objects, documents and photographs from the Museum’s Easter Week Collection. Please note this content is pre-recorded.
