Join architect Muhammad Achour to reimagine some of the Museum outdoor and indoor spaces through an interactive design and architecture workshop. Learn about how the design of our public spaces impacts on how we interact and engage with them in a fun and creative activity.

 

Workshop Facilitator: Muhammad Achour MSc BArch

Muhammad Achour grew up in Aleppo, Syria, where he got his bachelor's degree in architecture, then worked there as a lecturer and teaching assistant before relocating to Dublin. He now works at Dublin City University as a teaching assistant. During his masters’ studies at UCD in 2016 he fell in love with the idea of community engagement and the search for making better cities and making cities better. He founded ‘Places of ARcture’ a social enterprise that advocates for using art and architecture as tools to engage with local communities. He believes that community engagement within our neighborhoods is a key tool for achieving liveable cities. He has delivered a creative co-creation workshop with transition year students in Dublin entitled, ‘Imaginary Public Space’ through the Irish Architecture Foundation’s Architect in School initiative.
