Dive into Irish history at Collins Barracks this September with our range of free public tours!
Whet your appetite for history with A Taste of the Past, examining wining & dining through the ages. Learn about the changing roles of Irish women as reflected in their clothing and costume in The Way We Wore tour. Get your mind active in discovering the history of sporting in Ireland in Game, Set, Match. Explore Ireland's revolutionary era in A Decade of Military Conflict and Revolutionary Women. Delve into the life and times of designer and architect Eileen Gray in the Making of Modernism.
Finally, explore the fascinating history of Collins Barracks in From Barracks to Museum. This tour will be offered on the 12th and 20th September, as well as an Irish Sign Language-interpreted tour on 29th September.
Tours will begin in Reception at Collins Barracks. Booking is not required. However, places are limited and will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis.
For our ISL-interpreted tour at 3pm, 29th September, priority will be given to members of the Deaf community and those who are deaf or hard of hearing.
