Family Straw Weaving Workshop with the Armagh Rhymers
Join the Armagh Rhymers for a drop in straw weaving workshop to celebrate St. Brigid’s bank holiday weekend. Get the chance to make a Brigid cross and learn about the masked tradition of rhyming with its unique blend of music, drama, song and dance.
Be inspired by the famous straw masks worn by The Armagh Rhymers to portray characters such as Brigid and the other Saints of Ireland in their colourful performances and make your own props to use in the interactive Spring Spectacular Show.
Monday, 3rd February 1pm- 3pm
This event is free. Booking not required, however spaces are limited. Spaces are offered on a first-come first-served basis. Last entry to the workshop will be at 2.30pm.
Before your visit, download the Mumming Handbook to learn about the tradition and practice of mumming in Ireland.
