This temporary exhibition showcases the largest collection of contemporary works in precious metals, featuring some of Ireland’s most accomplished practitioners in the field.

These makers are the latest in a long lineage of craftspeople, carrying forward traditions that span centuries. With every generation, new layers of creativity, innovation, and masterful technique are added to a legacy that reaches back through millennia.

The temporary exhibition includes pieces by master silversmiths such as Seamus Gill (Dublin) and Victoria Donovan (Kilkenny), alongside high goldsmiths including Tuula Harrington (Cork) and Nigel O’Reilly (Mayo). It also features exciting emerging talent, with contemporary works by Siné Vasquez (Dublin) and Eimear Vize (Kilkenny). The collection includes a uniquely engineered handmade timepiece by internationally renowned horologist John McGonigle and a hand-forged Damascus steel knife by multi-award winning bladesmith Patrick Brennan (Kilkenny).
