Cuardach Focal / Comharthaí an Earraigh

Pictiúr de dhíoráma d’fhine sionnach ag NMI- Stair an Dúlra

Tá an t-earrach chugainn agus bíonn an dúlra ar fad gnóthach – ag tógáil neadacha, ag tabhairt aire d’ainmhithe agus d’éin óga nó ag cuardach bia tar éis codladh fada an gheimhridh.

Íoslódáil agus priontáil an cuardach focal seo agus bíodh spraoi agat ag teacht ar raon focal a bhaineann le hainmhithe a d’fhéadfá a fheiceáil nó a chloisteáil san earrach in Éirinn. Faigh amach cad a d’ith na sionnaigh óga le haghaidh an dinnéir!

Nuair a bheidh na focail go léir aimsithe agat, cuir in iúl dúinn cén chaoi ar éirigh leat trí ríomhphost a chur chugainn ag educationnh@museum.ie nó grianghraf a chur suas ar líne ar Facebook, Twitter @NMIreland nó  #MuseumAtHome.

Do pháistí idir 7-12 bliana d’aois go háirithe an ghníomhaíocht seo agus tá sí nasctha le Curaclam Eolaíochta OSIE. Is féidir é seo a líonadh isteach sa bhaile, mar ghníomhaíocht teaghlaigh, nó is féidir le múinteoirí agus le daltaí bunscoile é a dhéanamh.

Wordsearch / Signs of Spring

It’s spring and all of nature is busy – building nests, looking after young or finding food after a long winter’s sleep.

Download and print this wordsearch and have fun finding a range of words related to animals you might see or hear during springtime in Ireland. Discover what the fox cubs have been eating for the dinner!

When you have found all the words, why not let us know how you got on by emailing educationnh@museum.ie or post a photo online through Facebook, Twitter @NMIreland or using #MuseumAtHome.

This activity is designed for children aged 7-12 years old and is curriculum linked to the SESE Science Curriculum. This can be completed at home, as a family activity, or used by Primary school teachers and pupils.
