This collection consists of material relating to surveying, weights and measures, measurement of time, astronomy, drawing and communications.
Most of the instruments date from the 18th and 19th Centuries and the emphasis is on Irish makers. The collection also includes a rare and important 16th Century astrolabe by Jacob Habermal of Prague.
