18th Century Persian Bridal Coffer
This coffer originated in Persia and features mother of pearl and gilt inlays.
There are also brass escutcheons (panels surrounding a lock) and corners. The interior of the box is decorated in lacquer with an image of a deer and doe painted in gold.
