Raid on Lawless and Heron's Bicycle Shop, 1920
Two Auxiliaries, a DMP Constable and a British Army soldier outside Lawless and Heron's Bicycle Shop in Parnell Street, Dublin, 1920. This photograph was taken after a raid on the shop. The Lawless and Heron premises housed a munitions factory in the basement, making grenades and experimental weapons such as the IRA ‘Big Gun’ trench mortar.
