Two Auxiliaries posing with the steel body shield worn by Miss Maria Bowles, aged about fourteen when she was arrested while moving an arms dump near Clogheen, Co. Cork. She also had two revolvers on her person. She was court martialled and sentenced to seven years in a reformatory in January 1921. Photograph by W.D. Hogan, 56 Henry Street, Dublin.
