Use this activity sheet to learn how to play Nine's Men Morris, a board game played in Medieval Ireland. 

Click on the link below to download and print instructions on how to play Nine Men's Morris. This activity sheet includes the board of Nine Men's Morris that you can use to play or you can make your own board at home. There are also counters to cut out, or, you can use buttons, beads or shells as counters. 

Nine's Men Morris was very popular all over Medieval Europe. There have been the remains of Nine Men's Morris boards carved into pieces of stone and wood dating to Viking Ireland and Medieval Ireland. These are on display at the National Museum of Ireland - Archaeology.
