Drop-In workshop in the Learning Resource Room, National Museum of Ireland

Before the closure of the Words on the Wave: Ireland and St. Gallen in Early Medieval Europe on the 24th of October, come and see the exhibition and learn more about the manuscripts during our open day. 

Throughout the Open Day, meet with Museum educators and see replica handling material used to create manucripts in the early medieval period. Use our worksheets to discover how to write in insular majuscule and the secrets of creating interlace and knotwork, used to decorate manuscripts and objects at the time. 

No booking required. Located throughout the Museum. Prtially wheelchair accessible. Children must be fully supervised by a parent or adult who is in loco parentis.
