Test your navigation and map reading skills by taking part in a number of different Orienteering Adventures at the National Museum this summer!

There are five new and challenging orienteering courses to explore on the grounds of Turlough Park. Visit the Museum Galleries to pick up a map and download the MapRun app to track your progress.

MapRun is a smartphone app, which allows you to download an orienteering course and run it in your own time. MapRun will track your progress and monitor your time so you can challenge yourself and others to complete the course in the fastest time.

Using the map provided at the Museum Galleries or in the MapRun app, you will see an orienteering course with a Start, Finish and controls. Please note, there will be no physical control flags on site, but using the MapRun app, your smartphone track your GPS and will beep and/or vibrate when you are near the correct control and are in the right location.
