Watch Louisburgh Killeen Heritage Group's award winning, Traders on the Reek documentary ahead of Reek Sunday 2025.

On Saturday 19 July 2025 the award winning documentary Traders on the Reek will be shown in the AV Room of the National Museum of Ireland in Turlough Park.

This is a fantastic opportunity to learn more about the families who tirelessly prepared to feed and water the thousands of pilgrims who climbed the Reek each year. Listen to the families as they talk about the preparations which would take place for weeks in advance and the stories gathered over generations.

The event will begin with a brief talk from members of Louisburgh Killeen Heritage Group and Louisburgh Area Men’s Shed who will discuss their collaboration to record and film the documentary. There will be some members of the trader families in attendance who will talk about their experience of taking part in this project.
