Family Workshop - Make it Yours: Sustainable Upcycling Fashion Workshop
Join Arran Murphy and her team from Rediscover Fashion for this family workshop to reuse, rethink and relove old clothing.
Learn how to turn an old t-shirt into a tote bag or give a new lease of life to an item by mending or adding some new accessories.
Participants are encouraged to bring their own clothes and we provide the rest of equipment (sewing machines, threads, needles, jeans pockets, beautiful pieces of fabrics, buttons and other accessories).
This workshop will run over three sessions in the Learning Resource Room at Collins Barracks.

Public Tours - Ireland, Then & Now: Irish Symbolism in the Museum's Collections
Tours will explore the role of the Museum and focus on artefacts on display that express Irish identity, such as the Egan Harp, William Smith O’Brien Cup, Great Seal of Ireland etc. The tour will conclude in the we make our own histories exhibition looking at how artist Anthony Haughey’s artworks, co-created with communities across Ireland, reflect Irish culture and identity today, including Dress for Akunma, A Flag for Ireland and the Young People’s Assembly Table.

No booking is required. However, places are limited and offered on a first-come, first-served basis.
