Children's Drop-In Rainbow Stained Glass Inspired Workshop: Reflections of Love and Light

Join Museum Educators for a relaxed, drop-in workshop inspired by the stained glass creations of Harry Clarke. Explore light & colour and create a cheerful sun catcher out of cellophane and card to take home with you.

This event is free and suitable for children aged 5-15, under supervision. Booking not required, however spaces are limited. Spaces are offered on a first-come first-served basis. Last entry to the workshop will be at 15:00. 

This drop-in workshop is based on the Harry Clarke’s-Stained Glass Exhibition, which is located on the Museum's ground floor, and will be taking place in the Learning Resource Room, off Clarke Square.

These tours will take place hourly from 11:00 - 16:00, during Museum opening hours.

Join us for a rich and informative historical tour of Collins Barracks through an LGBTQIA+ lens. Learn about the diverse experiences of LGBTQIA+ individuals and communities through history on this new tour, launching in celebration of the 10th Anniversary of the Marriage Equality Referendum. Tours will begin in Reception at Collins Barracks. Booking for the weekend tours is not required. However, places are limited and will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis.

Rainbow Trail

Engage with a self-guided trail highlighting 8 artefacts associated with LGBTQIA+ history in the National Museum's collection.  

Explore artefacts on display in the Museum galleries which have a connection with LGBTQIA+ histories, including LGBTQIA+ men and women who were involved in the 1916 Easter Rising and more recently, activists involved in the campaigns for equality in law.
