29th November: Workshop: Beady Pockets

Visit the Traveller’s Journey exhibition to hear stories about beady pockets with Bridie Mongan. These highly decorated pouches were worn by women in the Travelling Community around the waist, like an apron to hold their most treasured possessions. Each told their own story. Afterwards join artist Stephanie Troy to make a representation of your own beady pocket to take home.
