Over-Seas Men, Ballykinlar Internment Camp, 1920-1921

Mounted on brown card with names of those in photograph printed beneath. Entitled: "Over-Seas Men". Photograph by Frank McKay, 12 Emerald Square, Dolphin's Barn, Dublin. Internee Frank McKay smuggled a camera into the camp without the knowledge of the British authorities. This was arranged by Joe McGrath, who also had a typewriter smuggled in at the same time. McKay was interred in Hut 14, and  smuggled a camera into the camp in baked cakes.
