As part of our summer programme we are delighted to welcome back scientist and educator Declan Holmes for a series of workshops in July and August.

Rocket Workshop - This exciting workshop simulates a realistic launch experience and raises interest in science.  We will start by exploring the science of rockets, to see how air pressure and forces can propel rockets. Teams will design, build and launch their own water rockets, which will soar around 80 feet into the air.

Robot Workshop - We will start by exploring the motors and controllers on small robotic cars. Teams will then program the robots to move and spin. We will code the robots to use the different sensors to explore the world around them. To finish, teams will compete in a robot battle to see which is the best robot.

 

The Rocket Workshops will take place on
Tuesday 2^nd August, 1pm - 3pm.


The Robot Workshops will take place on
Wednesday 3^rd August, 1pm - 3pm.
