The National Museum of Ireland - Decorative Arts & History is located at Collins Barracks, Benburb Street, Dublin 7.

- Closed Christmas Day, St. Stephen's Day and Good Friday
Visitors need to book a free ticket online in advance for the NMI- Decorative Arts & History. This is to facilitate physical distancing guidelines and ensure we can accomodate a safe and enjoyable return of visitors to the Museum.

Shop Opening Hours
The Museum shop is open during Museum opening times.
Our knowledgeable staff are on hand to assist you with any questions. You will find help and assistance, should you need it, at the reception desk on the ground floor at the main entrance.
Visitor parking at Collins Barracks is PAY & DISPLAY:
- €2 for one hour
- €5 for four hours
- €10 full day (8am – 6pm)
- €40 weekly
Car Park Opening Hours
- Monday - Saturday 7.30am - 6pm (gates close 6.30pm)
- Sunday 1pm - 5.30pm (gates close 6pm)
There are seven designated blue badge parking spaces.
Cloakroom services are currently unavailable so please do not bring motorcycle helmets, suitcases or large bags into the exhibition galleries.
Accessible toilets are located at the:
- Reception desk
- Ground floor of the Soldiers and Chiefs exhibition
Baby changing facilities are available within all toilet facilities throughout the museum.
It is possible to take pushchairs/strollers around the Museum as it is fully accessible with lifts, ramps, and wide doors.
Large backpacks, bags or suitcases should be left in the cloakroom for your convenience while visiting the Museum. Please ask at the reception desk for assistance when you arrive.
Lifts and Access to the Galleries
All galleries in Collins Barracks are fully accessible. The site has four lifts, located in the main reception area, in the east corner servicing floors one to three of the decorative arts section of the museum. There are two lifts in the Soldiers and Chiefs exhibition.

There are seating areas available in the majority of galleries. Mobile stools are available upon request. Wheelchairs are also available at the reception desk if required.
