All groups visiting the Museum must receive a ticket and confirmation from the Bookings Office, as groups that attend without booking may be refused entry.
Group Visits
Our current guidelines for group visits reflect the NMI’s Child Protection Policy and must be adhered to fully.
- We require at least one week’s notice for a group visit.
- Please note that, for groups aged 7-18 years, a supervisory ratio of 1:15 is required. For groups aged 7 years and under, or groups with students with special educational needs, a ratio of 1:10 is required.
- Schools, Colleges and Community groups are encouraged to contact us directly for information on all available resources.
Bookings Office
The Bookings Office is open 9am - 5pm, Tuesday - Friday.

Guided Tours
Guided tours for Primary, Post-Primary and Third Level groups are free of charge, and guided tours for all other groups are charged at €50.Schools interested in a guided tour or facilitated visit can complete this visit enquiry form, and Community groups can contact bookings@museum.ie.
