Educational and Community groups that book using the website ticketing system or attend without booking may be refused entry.

Covid-19: Group visits

While following current public health guidelines, the National Museum of Ireland can facilitate a limited number of group visits at present.

Our current guidelines for group visits reflect the NMI’s child protection policy and current public health guidelines as set out by the government and as such must be adhered to fully. If there are changes to public health guidelines, we will update our policies to reflect these changes.

  • We require at least a week’s notice for a group visit.
  • Groups must break down into units of 6 on arrival at the Museum, and enter and remain in these units for the duration of the visit. If your group contains under-18s, one adult is required per two units, for a ratio of 1 supervising adult to 12 students.
  • This will be a self-guided visit, where you look around yourselves, as we are unable to offer guided tours for groups at this time.
Please see here for Important COVID-19 Information for Visitors.
