On Sight 2023 presents a temporary art trail of seven new works dotted throughout the woodland and gardens at the National Museum of Ireland - Country Life, Turlough Park, Castlebar, Co Mayo.

The trail also includes an installation created by Mayo Artsquad in collaboration with local communities.

The On Sight 2023 artworks take inspiration from bees and St Gobhnait, their patron saint, as well as biodiversity and low-impact arts practises and materials.

On Sight 2023 also featured a vibrant community open day to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Mayo Artsquad. The open day, on 27 May 2023, included a full programme of hands-on workshops, demonstrations, music, poetry and circus performers.

On Sight is an annual initiative supporting the creation of site specific artworks in the grounds of the National Museum of Ireland - Country Life. It is a partnership project with Mayo County Council Arts Service, Mayo Artsquad and the National Museum of Ireland.

In 2023, the project was also funded by the Arts Council and Creative Ireland.
