The NMI - Decorative Arts & History has three entrance gates:

The main gate from Benburb Street for both car and pedestrian access. Please note there is a steep incline from this gate to the entrance of Clarke Square.

A second entrance gate for cars and pedestrians is located at the rear of the site from the Arbour Hill area. There is a steep decline from the gate to the car park.
- There is a pedestrian gate from the Museum Luas stop on Benburb Street, but this is not wheelchair accessible - please use the main gate nearby on Benburb Street instead.
Parking
While there will be no public parking available at our Collins Barracks site from Tuesday 24th June to Tuesday 1st July inclusive and there will be no public vehicular access through the site on these dates.
There will be limited accessible parking available on site for blue badge holders from Tuesday 24th June to Tuesday 1st July.
There are no accessible spaces available on the day of the Event, Saturday 28th June. Please liaise with the Steward at the gate when you arrive and they will advise on limited accessible spaces available on Arbour Hill instead.

Please note that the car park in Collins Barracks is paid parking (though there is an exemption for valid permit parking).

- There is no overnight parking
Regular Car Park Opening Hours*:
- Monday - Saturday 7.30am - 6pm (gates close 6.30pm)
- Sunday 1pm - 5.30pm (gates close 6pm)
There are seven designated disabled parking spaces during regular operating days.
Facilities for people with mobility impairment
- All galleries in the National Museum of Ireland- Decorative Arts & History are fully accessible. The site has three lifts, located in the east corner servicing floors one to three of the decorative arts section of the museum. There are two lifts in the Soldiers and Chiefs exhibition.
- Accessible toilets are located in the main reception, the ground floor of the Soldiers and Chiefs Exhibition, and in the Riding School (temporary gallery).
- Mobile stools are available upon request from the Reception Desk.
- Wheelchairs are available from the Reception Desk on request. Please call ahead to reserve one on +353 1 6777444.
- There are seating areas available in the majority of galleries.
Facilities for people with visual impairment
- Guide and Assistance Dogs are welcome.
- Please note that lighting in some exhibitions is low to address conservation concerns around certain artefacts.
- There are touchable exhibits within the Museum. Please ask a staff member or attendant to help you locate these in the Museum.
Facilities for people with hearing impairment
- We regret that currently induction loops are not installed in the Museum.
