The National Museum of Ireland (NMI) is seeking applications from suitable candidates to fill the post of Textile Conservator (Assistant Keeper Grade II) in the Conservation Department of the National Museum of Ireland. This is a full-time permanent position.
The post holder will be responsible for the care and conservation requirements of the museum’s textile-based collections and will be expected to carry out both preventive conservation measures and practical remedial conservation treatments and to oversee and influence the work of other staff, volunteers, contractors and interns in conservation matters.
