INRI and 1713 and IHS are carved into the back. There are also three nails and two five-lashed scourges.

On the front of this cross the figure of Christ is in relief but the lower part has broken away and the INRI is faintly incised. Symbols of the Passion of Christ carved on the front of the cross include a hammer, pincers, a jug, a skull in relief, cock, pot and two scourges.

Provenance: Co. Donegal
This cross was said to have belonged to Friar McCluskey who served the east Inishowen district during the penal days and was last kept in a farmhouse in the townland of Clare.
